Mobile Native Apps vs HTML5

In the last year I have written several articles about HTML5 and Flash but wanted to turn my focus to HTML5 vs Native App development for iPhone and Android. This was a topic of discussion last year within Centigon Solutions, and so far we have had tremendous success with web application development for mobile. In fact, we have chosen to approach our GMaps Mobile solution as a hybrid where most of the code-base exists as a web application but will still be wrapped up as a native app. This approach taken by Google and Bank of America are two successful examples of how you can leverage the latest HTML,CSS, and Javascript together to create a fluent user experience on a mobile device. The result as I have found, provides us with 1 single code-base that works on phones and tablets, across iOS and Android.
